The Smallest Quadcopter In The World Is Called Estes Proto X

Drones are definitely fun to pilot, no doubt about it, but even though their practicality is uncontested, their subtlety leaves something to be desired most of the time. Fortunately, brilliant minds around the world are working on creating smaller and smaller drones that would be able to sneak around undetected and gain access in some of the most inaccessible spaces.

The world’s smallest nano quadcopter is called Estes Proto X, and it measures no more than 1.8 inches in width. Despite the fact that it is barely larger than a quarter, this thing comes packed with impressive technologies such as a three-accelerometer gyro, a precision triple-axis and an auto-upright system that ensures stability and self-correction in mid air.

As far as range is concerned, this drone is capable of flying for about 10 minutes on a full charge, all thanks to a 3.7V 100mAh LiPo battery that can be recharged easily via USB. The Estes Proto X also comes with a 2.4GHz radio controller that can be used to steer it around without much effort.
