Dom Perignon x David Lynch Launch Party

some perks of being in the west coast, and not being in the east coast, is that for my editors who can not make it to some certain events in the west coast, i'd attend in their place. for example, last week's extravagant, yet understated, and code of dress: "dark" party for a special edition Dom Perginon bottle designed by the one and only Sir David Lynch. Mission was to snap some photos on behalf of Nylon. Personal mission was to see The Kills. Missions accomplished.

obviously leighton meester knows how to dress, albeit her at-times questionable selections (i.e. the completely see-through lace Marchesa jumpsuit, with nude booty shorts!) but who can blame her for wanting to step out of the constraints of the proper Blair Waldorf uniform?

i say if you have the face and the body and the means to wear whatever you want, you WEAR WHATEVERRR YOU WANT!

i remember a few years back my little sis raving about some new tv show that she was addicted to -- gossip girl. i saw a glimpse of it while surfing the tube but rolled my eyes to the idea of young girls and their immature repertoires and vowed never to get sucked in. present day, (well a couple of weeks back) and i am seriously sucked in and stuck! it was accidently added to my netflix queue! i've only seen most of season one and although some parts make me turn away, frown and grunt at the catty things they do...but i gotta admit, i've happily jumped onto the S+B bandwagon.

ironically, after watching the first couple of episodes, i saw an amazing picture of Blake Lively (Serena) in a stunning Antonio Berardi peek-a-boo zipper dress paired with Elizabeth and James heels. perfect!
