structure + florals

my afternoon at the getty. not so much perusing the galleries, but more admiring the juxtaposition of the linear architecture with its feminine lines and curves, and vast sweeping views of los angeles. i was most excited to stroll the garden (see: matching floral pants worn for the occasion), but just my luck the garden was under complete renovation. despite that, it was a gorgeous, gorgeous day at the getty and i can't wait to go back in the summer to see the new floral arrangements.

h&m conscious collection

ever since hannah macgibbon introduced scallop hems in her collection for Chloe, i've been lusting over anything with that very feminine detail, yet found it very hard to find something similar to those shorts and dresses...until now. H&M's upcoming Concsious Collection is basically the Chloe collection from a few seasons ago, at a much smaller price. made with organic and recycled fabrics, the white and cream collection of eco-friendly spring pieces resonates everything a girl needs for the coming sunny season.

GET COZY at F21, GET WARM at H&M, and STAY WARM at 80's

You may not be aware of this, but all your favorite fashion companies take a lot of time, and put in a lot of effort to try to come up with the best eye-catching, money-grabbing, make-you-wanna-buy ad campaigns every season (and sometimes even in between seasons). Trust me, I've been there. Trying to come up with clever, borderline cheesy slogans isn't as easy as you think. 

So as I was online window shopping the past couple days, I noticed a little blip with a few of the more major companies and their F/W campaigns. Maybe great minds think alike. Maybe they just ran out of ideas. Maybe they decided to join forces to get the universal message out: GO SHOPPING.

i fell in love with the girl at the rock show..

although this is a painful reminder that i didn't get to go to coachella this year, these photos from the H&M FASHION AGAINST AIDS collection make me excited for the coming glory days of summer. pool parties, BBQs, beach bummin...whatever it is, i know i need that acid wash denim dress & white maxi dress. :)

so anyway, MAY 20 is when this collection is going to release, with 25% of the proceeds going to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. how nice! i'll definitely be at south coast that day.

and btw, lou dillon and elizabeth jagger facing this campaign is GENIUS!! such a perfect fit.
